Grenville-sur-la-Rouge

The municipality of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is located in the Argenteuil regional county municipality of the Laurentides administrative region, in the province of Quebec. It covers a 329 km2 territory, and is divided into two districts: Pointe-au-Chêne and Calumet. The municipality currently has close to 3000 residents.

Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is on the north shore of the Outaouais River. The unique features of its geography are the Laurentian foothills and its extensive bodies of water. The Rivière Rouge, which is the municipality's prime attraction, is popular among fresh water enthusiasts such as canoers, kayakers and rafters. It weaves through the Canadian Shield, crossing the municipality from north to south through the Sept Sœurs falls, finally flowing into the Outaouais River.
